Dr. Geri Kleinman has loved working in this dental practice so much that she has been here for 25 years! Although she enjoys all aspects of dentistry, she particularly enjoys working with the very young, the elderly, and dental-phobic patients. She finds joy in teaching the parents of young children how to help their children maintain great oral hygiene, and having a fun “ride in the chair” with the young patients to ensure a lifetime of good dental visits. Many of her patients are even encouraged to think about becoming dentists themselves! “Everyone deserves beautiful smiles and a healthy mouth. It is a privilege to make that happen for my patients.”
Dr. Kleinman was born in New Jersey, attended Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, and graduated from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She pursued a General Practice Residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, where she met her husband. They moved to Massachusetts and have lived in Northampton for 30 years while raising their three children.
When not working, Dr. Kleinman enjoys playing tennis, hiking, biking, gardening, and traveling. She also enjoys going to local schools to talk with kindergartners and first-graders about how to brush and floss to stay healthy.
Dr. Kleinman’s professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Valley District Dental Society, Hampshire Dental Society, Pioneer Valley Women Dentists, and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
